The stock market was dismal to say the least Tuesday, but as always, there were exceptions to the rule, with Oilsands Quest (AMEX:BQI), Seabridge Gold (SA) and Gold Resource (AMEX:GORO) going against the tide.
In trading on Tuesday, oil and gas exploration and production shares were relative leaders, down on the day by about 0.1%. Leading the group were shares of Oilsands Quest, up about 6.9% and shares of Chesapeake Energy, up about 6.8% on the day.
Also showing relative strength are precious metals shares, down on the day by about 0.1% as a group, led by Seabridge Gold (SA), trading higher by about 7% and Gold Resource (GORO), trading up by about 6.3% on Tuesday.
