Confirmation from Chesapeake Energy (NYSE:CHK) has come concerning a fire breaking out at its natural gas drilling site in Washington County, Pennsylvania.
The fire happened late Wednesday night and continued on for about 3 hours before being extinguished.
Chesapeake said in a statement that the cause of the fire was a flash fire in the gas liquids storage tank. How the fire started is yet to be determined.
The Chesapeake workers received injuries from the fire, according to the company.
