Ford Motor (NYSE:F), citing statistics for the 18 to 25 year old demographic concerning tattoos, where about 40 percent have ink on their bodies, says they want to target that market by attempting to sell vinyl graphics to place on vehicles as tattoos for cars.
KC Dallia, Focus brand manager, said, "Millennials have a very personalized, artistic side to their lifestyle, and their vehicle is a very important part of that."
Cost of the graphic will range from $120 to $470, usually much less than a tattoo on the body.
Ford Custom Graphics will also be able to be removed easily from the cars, causing no damage to them.
For the Fiesta alone Ford already has over 200 graphics that could be placed on them.
Also tapping into the propensity for that demographic to buy more than one tattoo - from two to five - Ford is hoping that same practice and ease of removal will result in the same for their cars.
