ExxonMobil (NYSE:XOM) Chalmette Plant Operations Returning to Normal

After a worker was killed at their Chalmette Plant in Louisiana, ExxonMobil (NYSE:XOM) cut production to deal with the situation.

One thing known for sure, is there was a leak of a combination of hydrogen sulfide and compressed gas, although it isn't known whether that was the cause of the death of the contract worker or he died of natural causes coincidentally.

Exxon announced the operations at the plant are now close to returning to normal, and production will be where it was before the incident very soon.

The energy giant closed Thursday at $65.30, gaining $0.26, or 0.40 percent.
