Cadence (CADX) (BKI) (BLK) (PERY) (PETM) (CHK) Price Targets Changed

Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: CADX), Buckeye Technologies Inc. (NYSE: BKI), BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE: BLK), Perry Ellis International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PERY), Petsmart Inc. (NASDAQ: PETM) and Chesapeake Energy (NYSE: CHK) had their price targets adjusted by analysts.

Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (CADX) had its price target lowered by UBS AG (NYSE:UBS) from $7.00 to $4.00. They have a “Neutral” rating on the company.

Buckeye Technologies Inc. (BKI) had its price target raised by RBC Capital from $32.00 to $37.00. They have an “Outperform” rating on the company.

BlackRock, Inc. (BLK) had its price target raised by Citigroup (NYSE:C) to $190.00.

Perry Ellis International, Inc. (PERY) had its price target lowered by Brean Murray from $39.00 to $23.00. They have a “Buy” rating on the company.

Petsmart Inc. (PETM) had its price target raised by Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB) from $46.00 to $48.00. They have a “Hold” rating on the company.

Chesapeake Energy (CHK) had its price target lowered by Oppenheimer to $35.00.

Cadence (CADX) (TECUA) (ATPG) (BAMM) (GLGL) (HMPR) Biggest NASDAQ Losers Monday

Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (CADX), Tecumseh Products Co. (TECUA), ATP Oil & Gas Co. (ATPG), Books-A-Million Inc. (BAMM), GLG Life Tech Corp. (GLGL) and Hampton Roads Bankshares (HMPR) were the biggest losers on the NASDAQ Monday, November 14.

Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (CADX) ended the day down 21.54 percent, while closing at $3.97. They traded in a range of $3.95 to $4.92. A total of 1,329,501 shares changed hands.

Tecumseh Products Co. (TECUA) ended the day down 14.68 percent, while closing at $4.94. They traded in a range of $4.83 to $5.51. A total of 102,109 shares of the stock changed hands.

ATP Oil & Gas Co. (ATPG) ended the day down 14.37 percent, while closing at $5.78. They traded in a range of $5.53 of $6.72. A total of 8,059,754 shares changed hands.

Agilent (A), Cadence (CADX), Cooper (COO US), LSB (LXU), Spreadtrum (SPRD) Jump on Earnings, Guidance

Shares of Agilent Technologies Inc. (A), Cadence Pharmaceuticals Inc. (CADX), Cooper Cos. (COO US), LSB Industries Inc. (LXU), Spreadtrum Communications Inc. (SPRD) were all hopping today, as they beat expectations and/or gave strong guidance.

Agilent Technologies Inc. (A) was up over 5 percent, as they boosted their guidance for long-term sales and operating margin forecasts, according to JPMorgan (NYSE:JPM). Agilent was trading at $45.19, gaining $2.37, or 5.53 percent, as of 1:13 PM EST.

Cadence Pharmaceuticals Inc. (CADX) was rocking, as the loss for the quarter was a penny less than analysts were looking for. The company was trading at $8.58, up $1.07, or 14.25 percent.

Cooper Cos. (COO) is up on beating analysts' expectation for earnings by 26 percent. Trading at $68.00, up $4.38, or 6.88 percent, the company was on top of the leaders in the Russell 1000 Index.

LSB Industries Inc. (LXU) made its big upward moved based on profits more than doubling over analysts' estimates, coming in at 79 cents a share. They were trading at $35.79, gaining $3.71, or 11.56 percent.

Spreadtrum Communications Inc. (SPRD) climbed on fourth-quarter sales of $126.5 million, beating the average analyst estimate of $123.4 million. They traded at $22.78, up $1.16, or 5.37 percent.

Alexion (NASDAQ:ALXN), Cadence (NASDAQ:CADX), Cubist (NASDAQ:CBST), Dendreon (NASDAQ:DNDN), Human Genome (NASDAQ:HGSI) Could be Takeover Targets

With time and costs a major factor in the drug industry, companies appear to be hunting for takeover targets like Alexion (NASDAQ:ALXN), Cadence (NASDAQ:CADX), Cubist (NASDAQ:CBST), Dendreon (NASDAQ:DNDN) and Human Genome (NASDAQ:HGSI), which have a pipeline, or are close to developing a pipeline, with soon-to-be-approved drugs.

Others noted in a recent Barron's article as possible takeover candidates were Acorda (NASDAQ:ACOR), AMAG Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:AMAG), BioMarin (NASDAQ:BMRN), Cephalon (NASDAQ:CEPH), Jazz Pharma (NASDAQ:JAZZ), Onyx (NASDAQ:ONXX), United Therapeutics (NASDAQ:UTHR), and Salix Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:SLXP).

Some of the companies rose on the assertions, with Cadence closing Monday at $7.76, gaining $0.47, or 6.52 percent.

Cadence Pharma (NASDAQ:CADX) Launches Ofirmev in U.S. Market

After a very successful release in Europe, where it is the No. 1 IV pain product in the region, Ofirmev has now been released in the U.S. by Cadence Pharma (NASDAQ:CADX), which could become a huger commercial success for them.

Canaccord says, "Cadence announced yesterday that Ofirmev, its IV acetaminophen for pain and fever, is now commercially available in the US. Details provided on the call support our belief that Cadence is well positioned for a solid US launch and could replicate the commercial success of the product in Europe, where it is the leading IV pain product."

Canaccord Genuity reiterates a "Buy" rating on Cadence Pharma (CADX), which closed Wednesday at $7.46, gaining $0.27, or 3.76 percent. Canaccord has a price target of $14 on Cadence.
