Citigroup (NYSE:C), Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), JPMorgan (NYSE:JPM), Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) and Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) are all under pressure again today as the banks in Europe kept their deposits at the ECB last night, suggesting they're holding back from lending to one another. The appears to be having a negative effect on the sector.
Big European banks were trading down as well, with the Royal Bank of Scotland (NYSE:RBS) trading at $6.19, falling $0.21, or 3.28 percent, as of 10:34 AM EST. Deutsche Bank (DB) was at $37.28, down $1.39, or 3.59 percent.
Wells Fargo was trading at $27.30, falling $0.31, or 1.12 percent. Bank of America was at $5.35, declining $0.13, or 2.37 percent. Citigroup was at $26.38, down $0.52, or 1.93 percent. Morgan Stanley was at $15.11, dropping $0.18, or 1.18 percent. JPMorgan was at $32.81, down $0.22, or 0.67 percent.
